HOW MANY CONTINENTS ARE THERE?

Some refer to 7 continents -

Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America.

Others to 6 continents, where Europe and Asia are combined (since they're one solid geologic landmass). These are

Africa, Antarctica, Australia, Eurasia, North America, and South America.

Another alternative has North and South America combined to form the continent of America.  These are

Africa, America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
